My Review Of Moto X Play After Using It For 6 Months

I am a proud owner of Moto X Play for the last 6 months. I must say I come out Very Impressed and worried about the lack of its popularity.. So I have written a review of Sorts below..

The Positives:
  • The Motorola Add Ons:Motorola Take a Bow From Me, They know how to do Software.. I was initially keeping this further down in The review as Many in this subreddit know about them and can explain their strengths better than me... But after using the device longer I realised they just make such a big part of my experience that they had to be at the top..

  1. Moto Display: It is one of the best thing about this phone (even Surpassing the great Battery Life) pick it up from the table or from your pocket, screen turns on and helps you quickly access your missed notifications. What others don't mention is that It also prevents wear of Power Button. (I heard Phones even bricking due to weared out/faulty Power button)
  2. Moto Voice: I can wake up my phone even while screen is turned off, By Just Saying "OK JARVIS" :D , You can set it to anything even Whistle :) I was not a person who did a lot of voice actions before this phone, Shoutout to Google Now: It takes even fairly complex commands like "Remind me to pay my airtel bill on 10th of Every Month"..
Note: Google Now Search also works when phone is locked with a pin, pattern which is thoughtful
  • Size: In Hand Feel is AWESOME. Bezels are minimal: Its almost exactly as tall as Nexus 5X and Lg G4.. When i felt it first I couldn't believe How thin it felt.. Its thinner at the sides and fatter in the middle, which is perfect for gripping it. This fact is especially important considering its a 5.5 inch phone though This great grips makes it easier to do most operations with 1 Hand and I have fairly regular hands. I attribute this to the confidence the grips provides me to adjust my hand position on phone
  • Battery: It has a 3630mah battery, which gives you enough juice to last 1 day Now matter How heavily (not literally but you get the meaning) you use it. Usually it lasts for more than a day and half for me. I mostly use emails, skype, whatsapp, snapchat and facebook, I play games too like Clash of Clans.
  • Micro SD Card is There
  • It also has NFC which the Supposedly Flagship Killer :cough: OnePlus 2 :cough: lacks
  • Camera: Not the absolute best but Right up there is top Phones for 1/3 Price. The camera is a 21mp rear with dual tone led flash and 5mp front with screen flash, rear camera is really good in daylight and above average in artificial light. Even with flash its good where many device falter, Very less noise (Although it leads to some softening) and the picture is very clear. Front camera is good too for selfies.. Sadly No Camera Api2 Though
Cons:
  • Not a real Con but Motorola should have included a Turbocharger, One Can wish :)

Notes::
  • I Have not experienced any slowdowns other people have reported
  • Screen sometimes get quite warm but not uncomfortably hot.
  • Stock in Box Charger Takes almost 2:30 Hours to charge fully
  • Screen has railest edge instead of seamless which while may seem problematic to purist but raised edges prevent glass cracking to an extent when phone will fall face down.. acting like a bumper case of sorts
  • Its bands In India: case somebody decides to import
    GSM - 850, 900, 1800, 1900; UMTS - 2100; 4G - LTE Bands (1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 19, 20, 28, 38, 40, 41)
  • Moto Display works for me everytime I pull it out of phone or pick it up from somewhere, Heck I even find it sometime too easy to trigger..
For Moto Voice I have a tip (sortta): Choose a launch phrase which you say exactly the same every time / most of the time and Trust it will get better over time as you will learn how to say it exactly the same every time.. I say Ok JARVIS exactly the same every time now... Shouting will reduce accuracy Hope this Helps some of you to decide and also anybody is welcome to AMA about it
